History
The first editions of Traders Trophy Worldwide took place in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Netherlands in the autumn of 2008. In 2009, new editions followed in more areas of the world. Today, thousands of students have participated in the competition.
The software which the Traders Trophy is built on has been used for educational purposes for many years. However, the idea of using it also for a competition came about during the Beijing Olympics in 2008 when seeing the impact of sports and games and seeing how intense you can learn in many aspects while having fun and competing. As the software reflects the key competencies of successful traders, it is perfectly suited for a trading competition.
Traders Trophy Worldwide is not only about competing. Leaning and understanding is also a very important component as many students have no idea what it is like to trade financial instruments in a professional way.
